English 10-1 is the first year high school English course for students who are working towards a high school diploma. The course assumes that you have completed Grade Nine English Language Arts in junior high school and are intending to complete a high school diploma. English 10-1 is designed to lead to English 20-1 and then English 30-1 to fulfil high school graduation requirements.
Media and Cinema 15 examines the history of the medium, including the development of production and exhibition technologies that broadened the impact of the subject matter The course will also explore the way in which history is portrayed and presented in the media and cinema, as well as the significant changes throughout cinematic history.
Media and Cinema 25 explores the ways in which other cultures/national identities are represented by themselves as well as others. This course also investigates how cultural/national identities are developed or shaped by media and cinema.”
This 3-credit course has a prerequisite of either: General Psychology 20 or Personal Psychology 20.
General Psychology provides an introduction to psychology and covers the following topics: learning, thinking, memory, emotions, behavior and behavior disorders.

This 3-credit course provides students with an opportunity to gain an understanding of scientific methods, intelligence and intelligence testing, personality, and statistical analysis and various therapies used in the treatment of psychological disorders. As well, students will be required to complete an independent research project including design, data collection, analysis and interpretation.
